Oppenheimer Investigations Group (OIG), a premier investigations law firm focused on impartial, legally sound workplace and school investigations, announces the addition of attorneys Lauren J. Numeroff and Aditi Shah to its nationally recognized team. Their arrivals deepen OIG’s East Coast presence and further strengthen its capacity to handle complex, high-stakes investigations for clients across the country.

Lauren joins OIG after serving as an attorney with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, where she investigated complaints involving discrimination and equal access in educational settings. She brings extensive experience conducting complex investigations, evaluating sensitive allegations, interviewing witnesses, assessing credibility and developing findings in matters involving diverse stakeholders and challenging factual and legal issues.
Prior to her legal practice, Lauren was a high school English teacher in New Jersey, experience that continues to inform her work involving schools and educational environments. Throughout her career, she has worked on matters affecting children, older adults, individuals with disabilities and other vulnerable populations through investigations, litigation, administrative proceedings and counseling. She has also served in leadership and mentoring roles supporting the development of attorneys and advancing professional organizations dedicated to public service.
Aditi joins OIG with more than 17 years of federal employment law experience. Throughout her career, she has advised federal agencies and senior leaders, conducted and overseen workplace investigations, assessed witness credibility and handled complex employment matters involving discrimination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, reasonable accommodations, performance and misconduct, and discipline and removals. Her federal service includes roles with the U.S. Department of State; U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives; and Federal Bureau of Prisons. She also served as an attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice Attorney General’s Honor Program and was selected as a Fellow in the White House Leadership Program.
An Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH) and certified EEO investigator, Aditi has trained managers and supervisors on EEO, misconduct and whistleblower law and has appeared before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Merit Systems Protection Board, Federal Relations Authority, Office of Special Counsel, Foreign Service Grievance Board, and federal courts.
Aditi and Lauren are both licensed in New York and New Jersey and will work alongside OIG’s East Coast leadership team, anchored by Zaneta and well-known, tri-state, attorney investigator Beth Gramigna, to conduct impartial workplace and educational investigations, Title IX matters, trainings, conflict resolution mediations, climate assessments and related services for clients across the country.
