Oppenheimer Investigations Group LLP (OIG) announces the addition of Rachel Reddick to the firm as an attorney investigator.
“Rachel’s entire career has been dedicated to ensuring healthy, conflict-free environments, and she has demonstrated true leadership at the highest levels,” said OIG Managing Partner Vida Thomas. “Her ability to confront high-pressure, high-stakes situations as an impartial investigator is commendable, and equally impressive is her empathetic approach to guiding organizations on how to improve their policies and standards. Her efforts have made real impact, and we’re glad to have her on the OIG team.”
Rachel specializes in creating healthy workplace and school environments by delivering thorough and impartial investigations and by providing trainings, climate surveys and assessments on employment-related issues, such as harassment prevention and labor laws compliance.
Prior to joining the private sector, Rachel managed a team practicing before the military commissions in Guantanamo Bay Cuba and oversaw investigations on one of the largest criminal cases in United States history. Additionally, she served in the U.S. Congress as a Defense Fellow and also worked for a congressperson sitting on the Oversight and Investigations subcommittee of the House Armed Services Committee, where she assisted in several high-profile congressional investigations. Early on in her career, Rachel spent time in the Navy’s Judge Advocate General Corps, where she litigated at the trial and appellate level, and served as general counsel to commanding officers both onshore and at sea, advising on employee matters and overseeing investigations.
In addition to being an active member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the California Lawyers Association and the Monterey County Bar Association, Rachel serves on the board of directors for the Monterey County Women Lawyers Association and the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center. She earned her J.D., cum laude from Rutgers School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude from Temple University.
