Oppenheimer Investigations Group LLP (OIG) is pleased to announce that Partner Ilona Turner has been named Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) Labor and Employment Law Section. She previously served as the section’s Vice Chair.
Ilona brings extensive experience conducting impartial workplace and Title IX investigations, coaching, training, and mediation across a variety of industries. Her comprehensive approach to addressing conflicts and creating healthy, safe environments has made her a highly valued resource to public and private organizations, including notable technology companies, nonprofits and government agencies.
In addition to her investigations work, Ilona serves as faculty for the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) training institute and educates a wide array of audiences on relevant topics, such as best practices to repair and enhance workplace culture, mediating across differences, transgender inclusion, and using AI to assist with investigations. She has also delivered in-depth analysis to inform industry peers on federal and state equal pay laws and competing standards in mixed-motive cases, and has taught classes as an adjunct lecturer at UC Berkeley and Stanford Law Schools. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Ilona holds a JD from UC Berkeley School of Law and an AWI-CH certification from the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI).
BASF’s Labor and Employment Law Section provides a forum to discuss matters of mutual concern for practitioners in the field. Section members include neutrals, management, and attorneys representing labor unions and employees. The section produces Continuing Legal Education programs and sponsors an annual conference in Yosemite National Park.
