This year’s virtual gathering celebrated the women and gender-expansive workers, students, activists, and leaders who are making 2020 such a significant year in our nation’s journey toward true racial equity and gender justice.

The Gala celebrated the theme #WeAreEssential, uplifting the champions driving transformative change. The featured line-up of gender justice luminaries included Megan Rapinoe of the US Women’s National Soccer Team, San Francisco Mayor London Breed, and emcee SF Giants announcer Renel Brooks-Moon. The Gender Justice Awards honored movement heroes including Drucilla Stender Ramey, essential women workers in the healthcare and grocery industries, and youth leaders tackling gender-based violence and racial injustice. Dolores Huerta and Professor Anita Hill were honored with the ERA Icon Award.
