OIG Partner and Attorney Investigator Ilona Turner will participate in the panel session “HR Investigations and the Ethical Impacts” as part of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Barristers Labor & Employment Section symposium. In Ilona’s session, participants will explore the complex ethical issues that workplace investigations can present for labor and employment practitioners. The panel will examine counsel’s professional responsibilities, practical approaches to overseeing investigations, and the most effective methods used to scrutinize and challenge investigative processes and outcomes.

- Best practices for defense counsel when reviewing or managing investigations
- Common methods of challenging investigations
- Navigating privilege, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, and other professional responsibility issues during workplace investigations
