Oppenheimer Investigations Group (OIG) announces the elevations of Gorev Ahuja, Madeline Buitelaar and Rachel Reddick to Senior Attorney. The promotions strengthen OIG’s nationally recognized investigations and Title IX practices and reflect the firm’s continued investment in its senior investigative bench.

Gorev conducts independent investigations involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other workplace misconduct. His work includes matters involving senior executives, elected officials and law enforcement personnel. Before joining OIG, he practiced employment law and conducted workplace investigations, experience that informs his approach to complex and sensitive matters. Gorev is biliterate in Hindi and bilingual in Punjabi, expanding the wide range of backgrounds and communities OIG is able to provide services to. In addition to being named to Northern California Super Lawyers‘ “Rising Stars” list for four consecutive years, Gorev’s insights have been published in outlets that include Corporate Compliance Insights and the Daily Journal, California’s largest legal newspaper.
Madeline has led more than 200 investigations since joining OIG. Her practice includes investigating allegations of sexual harassment and assault, discrimination, retaliation and workplace bullying, as well as complaints involving senior executives, managers and elected officials. She has significant experience conducting Title IX investigations for public and private educational institutions, including matters involving historical allegations of misconduct. In addition to her investigations practice, Madeline provides conflict resolution mediation services to organizations seeking to address workplace concerns and strengthen organizational culture. A sought-after speaker, Madeline has presented for organizations including the Bar Association of San Francisco, CalPELRA, CalGovHR and the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
Rachel conducts investigations, trainings and assessments for public and private sector clients. Prior to joining OIG, she served as a judge advocate in the U.S. Navy, where she litigated cases at the trial and appellate levels and advised military leaders on a range of legal matters., She also served as a Defense Fellow in the U.S. Congress before holding leadership roles within the Department of Defense. In addition to her investigations work, Rachel is a frequent speaker and author on workplace investigations issues, regularly presenting to legal and human resources audiences and contributing articles to publications, including The Recorder, SHRM, Corporate Compliance Insights, Healthcare Business Today and Hotel Dive. She draws on this breadth of experience to conduct independent, impartial investigations.
