Oppenheimer Investigations Group (OIG) Managing Partner Vida Thomas has been selected for inclusion on the 2025 Northern California Super Lawyers list, and Attorney Gorev Ahuja has been included on the “Rising Stars” list. This is the third consecutive year they have each been named.
The Northern California Super Lawyers and “Rising Stars” lists, published by Thomson Reuters, identify attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes a statewide lawyer survey, peer evaluations and independent research. No more than five percent of attorneys in Northern California are named to the Super Lawyers list, and only two percent are selected for the “Rising Stars” list, which highlights attorneys under the age of 40 or those in practice for ten years or fewer.
Leveraging more than 30 years of experience in employment law, Vida’s practice concentrates on conducting impartial workplace investigations and addressing complex organizational challenges. She has served as an expert witness in both state and federal employment litigation and has led hundreds of investigations involving a broad range of workplace issues. In addition to her investigative work, she frequently provides training to public and private sector clients on topics such as interpersonal dynamics, bias awareness, and effective workforce management across generational lines. As managing partner, she also oversees the firm’s work in Title IX matters, hearing officer services, mediation, coaching, and related initiatives.
Gorev conducts investigations into allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation and other forms of workplace misconduct. His work spans public, private and nonprofit organizations, and he has experience handling education-related matters, including those governed by the Uniform Complaint Procedures and special education proceedings.
