Workplace investigations do not operate in a vacuum. The allegations we investigate, people we interview, and the workplace tensions and relationships we scrutinize to help repair are not isolated from current events and the polarized climate in which we find ourselves. The task for investigators becomes how to remain impartial while acknowledging and addressing external factors that may be bleeding into our investigations.
This November 7, OIG Partner Zaneta Seidel will co-present a general session during the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) Annual Conference in Atlanta, George. The presentation will highlight common ways that heightened social, political, and cultural tensions can show up in workplace investigations and will provide tools and approaches investigators can employ to maintain professionalism, impartiality, and integrity of their investigations.
Information regarding the full conference agenda and registration may found on the AWI event webpage.
