Marketing Coordinator (Part-Time)
Summary
Oppenheimer Investigations Group is seeking an organized and proactive Marketing Coordinator to advance the firm’s business development and thought leadership efforts. This role focuses on identifying and tracking speaking and publication opportunities, managing sponsorships, acting as a liaison with outside organizations and partners, creating and/or reviewing social media content, and coordinating with firm attorneys to participate in writing and speaking engagements.
The successful candidate will be an organized, resourceful professional who can confidently engage with attorneys and external partners to keep the firm’s marketing initiatives on track and moving forward. Work will be part-time and is mainly remote with some in-person obligations. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area is strongly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
- Research, curate, and maintain a database of potential speaking, panel, and presentation opportunities for firm attorneys
- Identify and track writing opportunities in industry journals, legal publications, and other media
- Prompt and coordinate with attorneys to develop articles, client alerts, and blog posts
- Prompt and coordinate with attorneys regarding speaking engagements
- Research and propose sponsorship opportunities
- Maintain a database of past sponsorships
- Create and/or collaborate with outside consultants regarding ad designs
- Encourage participation at and track attendance at sponsored events
- Support outreach to law schools, bar associations, conferences, and professional groups to secure speaking and networking opportunities
- Assist with maintaining the firm’s marketing calendar, tracking deadlines for submissions, proposals, and sponsorship opportunities
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of speaking proposals and articles
- Maintain relevant records, including past speaking and publication activities
- Collaborate with attorneys and leadership to develop messaging consistent with the firm’s brand and mission
- Attend occasional in-person events or meetings to support the firm’s outreach efforts
- Create and/or review content for social media
- Draft copy and review content for the firm’s website
- Communicate and coordinate with outside marketing consultants
- Support additional marketing and communications projects as needed
Other Responsibilities
- Provide support for special projects and firm-wide initiatives
- Attend office meetings and events
- Prepare, edit, and format documents, correspondence, and reports
- Other work as assigned
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, business development, or communications (experience in a law firm or professional services setting preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, cloud-based tools (e.g., Dropbox, Google Workspace), and social media applications such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
- High level of professionalism, judgment, and discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Based in the Northern California region with ability to complete occasional in-person tasks in the San Francisco Bay Area
Physical Requirements: the incumbent must be able to:
- Perform sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
- Type at least 50 words per minute
- Work at a computer for prolonged periods of time

- Work effectively and efficiently in high stress and conflict situations

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary based on experience: $40,000 – $50,000 annually
