Attorney

T. 805.698.4059

After spending nearly a decade advocating for diversity, equality, and fairness in the workplace, Alisha knows the value a timely, thorough, and complete investigation can bring to all sides in an employment dispute. Alisha’s experience as a plaintiff-side employment attorney sparked her interest in earlier intervention and the impact a diligent workplace investigation can have on coming to a resolution.

Experience

At OIG, Alisha investigates allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, abusive conduct, and other issues arising within public and private entities.

Prior to joining OIG, Alisha spent over nine years representing plaintiffs in employment law matters at The Lucas Law Firm. In this role, she counseled and represented employees in a wide range of employment disputes, including claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful and constructive termination, employment contracts, and workplace accommodations.

While in law school, Alisha served as a member of the University of San Francisco Law Review and participated in the USF Employment Law Clinic to represent clients who could not afford legal representation with claims before the San Francisco Labor Commissioner and the United States Merit Systems Protection Board. She also gained her first taste of neutral legal practice, conducting mediations in the Superior Court of San Francisco Small Claims Court with the USF Mediation Clinic.

Outside of the Office

In her free time, Alisha enjoys watching sports, trying new restaurants around San Francisco, and reading fiction and getting lost in a good story.

“Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women.” Maya Angelou
